I Stole a Catchphrase
One day I woke up and decided to steal the catchphrase “Run your own life” from a Russian podcast called Kudji. Why? Well, because I can. Because it’s cool. And because “Run your own life” are the words I’m trying to live by. It’s about my fight to stop sleepwalking through existence.
“Run your own life” stops me from drifting. I’ve been lucky, life carried me somewhere decent. But luck isn’t a plan.
“Run your own life” drives me to quit following unwritten rules and yielding to peer pressure. I want to do what I like. That’s the whole point.
“Run your own life” helps me get over the terror of making hard calls. My thoughts are louder and clearer than the chorus of opinions around me. I trust them.
So, I adopted the phrase as a daily reminder, and I hope it helps someone else, too. Plus, paired with “Like and subscribe…” it serves as a call to action. This one actually means something.
